In 1995 Jack Roush had moved on to NASCAR full time. He had been the king of production based sports car racing at Daytona for 10 years.
Paul Newman asked Jack to prepare him a car for the Rolex 24, Mike Brockman, long-time friend and author would codrive. Roush not only provided a winning car, but the driving team of Mark Martin and Tom Kendall as well.

I woke up this morning and felt the need to put this together.
I was at the 500 last weekend, in turn three at the finish. I am a major sportscar fan, and I really enjoyed watching Dale Earnhardt racing with his son in the corvette two weeks ago at the Rolex24. They did a great job, and really seemed to enjoy the race. Their teammates had nothing but praise for their teamwork and skill. His accident has had a bigger impact on me than I had expected.
